| WomenSing is an auditioned women's chorus based in the East Bay. Their reputation for excellence draws members from the entire San Francisco Bay Area. Singing with a vibrant and beautifully blended sound, WomenSing programs include both the traditional and unexpected, featuring great landmarks of the treble repertoire in addition to seldom-performed works, commissions from nationally recognized composers, and popular music of all eras. Their outreach includes collaborations with other performing groups as well as benefit performances for patrons who cannot attend concerts. WomenSing has performed in many prestigious venues in Europe, Asia, South America, and the United States. |

"I attended a concert by his (Artistic Director
Martín Benvenuto’s) chorus, WomenSing.
On the program was the most difficult choral
cycle I have written for women’s voices; under
Mr. Benvenuto’s direction, this non-professional
choir performed like pros.
I was very happy."
Kirke Mechem, Composer

"The concert programming, the use of the
individual and section voices and the balance
of sound were remarkable … a leap forward
for your emerging professional ensemble
and for your distinction as the leading
women’s chorus in the Bay Area."
