Elemental Quartet
A choral exploration of Earth, Water, Fire and Air and their
intersection with music, featuring Ron Jeffers’ powerfully
ritualistic Indian Singing, the mystical flow of Holst’s
Hymn to the Waters, Elgar’s fiery love song, My Love
Dwelt in a Northern Land and popular “airs” of

WomenSing is pleased to be partnering this performance series
with the River of Words project. This organization has been
conducting training workshops for educators since 1995, helping
them to incorporate observation-based nature exploration
and the arts into their work with young people. Each year,
in affiliation with The Library of Congress Center for the
Book, River of Words conducts a free international literary
and art contest for youth on the theme of "Watersheds".
Millions of people around the world see the results of this
competition. An exhibit of the work will be shown at our
performances.
